I could introduce you personally to our printers on the floor, but they tend to be a shy bunch.
So I thought I would walk you round the machinery we have on deck instead, and talk about what we can handle on the press.
First of all, we print both digital and traditional offset. The difference between the two really comes down to costs involved.
If you have a small book run, then it is more economic to run it on the digital press and forgo the need for plates and inking. The quality is still top drawer, but printing digital also gives you more flexibility in terms of printing on-demand at short notice. It is also great for supplying quick advance copies or to do some test marketing.
A larger book run is best served by traditional offset printing. This allows you to keep your cost per unit as low as possible. As part of our quote process, we will itemize these factors individually for your benefit.
For those more technically minded, the printing machinery we use include a 6 colour press with A2 sheet-fed capabilities, two A1 2 colour and a couple of single colour presses. Enough to fill all needs.
